Station Seven: Multiplication Kite
Skills Content and Objective:

practice solving multiplication problems

Description
Students will roll two dice each to get their math problems.
Students will fold their paper for the body of the kite as if they were making a paper airplaine
Under one flap they right a multiplication problem for a classmate to solve. Under the other flaps they draw an array, a set and write a fact familiy to assist their classmate in solving the problem.
Differentiation:
This assignment can be used to assist students on varying levels. Students can be grouped based on ability. Students can leave different flaps of the kite blank which changes the difficutly of answering the multiplication problem. Students who do not have trouble with multiplication facts may be asked to write a more challenging math problem-possibly multiyplying by twelves and higher.
Assessment:
Students will be graded based on the accuracy of their arrays, sets and fact families. The student will also write the response to their partner's kite at the bottom of the I Can Record sheet (provided below).
